Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy as exhibited in his poetry through consciousness

Km. Uma & Vijendra Sahai — Kanpur.

Only those who live in a supreme Truth-consciousness and embody it are inwardly made in the divine image. The aim of supramental yoga is to lead us to this supreme Truth-consciousness. The change from mind to supermind is a revolution in knowledge. For it to become stable, it must be a divine transmutation. Once the conscious integral surrender to the divine has been made by mind, life, and body, the yoga becomes easy. We must not forget whatever is beyond ‘mind and life and body’ is spirit according to Sri Aurobindo. However one has to rise beyond the mind level and into the ‘supramental level’. This experience transfigured by a ‘supreme alchemy of consciousness’ brings into our existence an element of supramental glory. A person achieves a greater and divine consciousness in the ascent towards God, and that is supramental yoga.
