Brahmavid brahmaiva bhavati
To know Brahman is to be Brahman.

“To see a World in a grain of sand,
And Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.”

William Blake

The goal of mankind is knowledge... Now this knowledge is inherent in man. No knowledge comes from outside: it is all inside. What we say a man ‘knows’, should, in strict psychological language, be what he ‘discovers’ or ‘unveils’; what man ‘learns’ is really what he discovers by taking the cover off his own soul, which is a mine of infinite knowledge.

Swami Vivekananda

The significance of the lotus is not to be found by analysing the secrets of the mud from which it grows here; its secret is to be found in the heavenly archetype of the lotus that blooms for ever in the Light above... you must know the whole before you can know the part and the highest before you can truly understand the lowest. That is the promise of the greater psychology awaiting its hour before which these poor gropings will disappear and come to nothing.

Never fear shadows. They simply mean there's a light shining somewhere nearby.

Out of earth's heavy smallness we must break,

We must search our nature with spiritual fire:

An insect crawl preludes our glorious flight;

Our human state cradles the future god,

Our mortal frailty an immortal force.

Heroism is to be able to stand for the Truth in all circumstances.

A Tree

A tree beside the sandy river-beach
Holds up its topmost boughs
Like fingers towards the skies they cannot reach,
Earth-bound, heaven-amorous.

This is the soul of man. Body and brain
Hungry for earth our heavenly flight detain.

Sri Aurobindo

"Thy peace, O Lord, a boon within to keep

Amid the roar and ruin of wild time

For the magnificent soul of man on earth

Thy calm, O Lord, that bears Thy hands of joy."

Sri Aurobindo

"To live, to love are signs of infinite things,

Love is a glory from eternity's spheres.

Abased, disfigured, mocked by baser mights

That steal his name and shape and ecstasy,

He is the still the godhead by which all can change."

Faouzi Skali first staged the Fez Festival of World Sacred Music in 1994, in his home city of Fez, home for centuries to a tolerant mix of Muslims, Christians and Jews, Arabs and Europeans. He hoped to create a space where people from different cultures could meet and learn from one another without fear, bigotry or prejudice. "For 10 days each year, Fez is transformed, and so are the people who visit," Mr Skali says.

Fear not to be nothing that thou mayst be all.

Sri Aurobindo

Essentially there is but one single true reason for living: it is to know oneself.

Surrender is the decision taken to hand over the responsibility of your life to the Divine.
